CRIMINAL MINDSET
KILLING BECAUSE YOU CAN
In a previous blog post we discussed the opportunistic behavior of violent criminal actors (VCAs), how they instantaneously switch from normal to violent behavior when an opportunity presents itself.
In the example of James Broadnax we explore the mind of a violent criminal who, in an instant, went from a simple robbery to double-homicide. Back in 2008 he and an accomplice murdered 2 men in cold blood. Not only did he lack remorse for the harm he caused, he enjoyed the pain and suffering he inflicted upon his victims as well as their families. Unfortunately Mr. Broadnax is not singularly unique, this type of individual walks among us in the malls and streets of the cities. If we are not diligent and alert we could be their next victim.
Some may argue that if someone wants to rob you, let them. I strongly disagree. Based upon our growing understanding of the VCA’s mindset, we understand that a simple snatch and grab could turn deadly in a split second. They don’t care. You are their game, their fodder that has no value to them. We must fight! Act quickly, decisively, and we will prevent harm to ourselves and loved ones.
