Most of us plan a relaxing, fun day with family and/or friends to celebrate Independence Day. The good news is that we can do so in a relatively safe manner by avoiding the three S’s: Stupid Places with Stupid People, doing Stupid Things. Avoiding places where heavy alcohol consumption occurs is a good thing although it may not be entirely avoidable when wanting to take the family to watch fireworks. I encourage you to carefully select your activities and remain alert for anything that might spoil your celebration.
I am very grateful for the liberty and freedoms we enjoy as a result of the sacrifices made by our founding fathers and the many heroes throughout American history that passed their legacy to us. I salute the men and women that made the though choices and did what they had to do when it meant giving everything. I also salute the many men and women I know who choose on a daily basis to be responsible citizens and take ownership of their lives and the choices they make. Keep up the good work and have a great weekend!
