Make the First Shot Count
Course Description
Make the first shot count!
Safe, accurate, and quick draw and presentation are critical skills that must be executed carefully and correctly to ensure the most important shot in a gunfight – the first shot – is successful.
This four hour course will teach proper draw and presentation of the handgun from your preferred carry method. Strong-side carry, appendix, pocket, shoulder, ankle, cross-draw and off-body carry will be discussed. This course will include both dry practice and live fire.
Per FBI gunfight stats, most common distance is 3 yards or less and are over within 3 seconds. In addition, it’s most common for the individual that makes the first shot to prevail in the fight. At the same time, it can be very difficult to make a quick first shot if you shoot yourself when drawing from the holster.
Sadly, many of us don’t have convenient access to a range where they can practice drawing a live handgun from a holster. This course is an excellent opportunity to learn what it takes!
EQUIPMENT: – Eye and ear protection, rigid holster, sturdy belt, concealment garment, hat with brim – 100 rounds of ammunition.
You are the One who must be prepared for the fight AND the aftermath. This course will provide much more than the basics of your permit to carry class.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be provided a certificate of achievement that signifies the student is able to use their firearm safely, responsibly, and effectively.
